Atheava Ayurveda’s B Corp Certification

We are thrilled to announce that Atheava Ayurveda is now a Certified B Corp, joining the global community of only 3900 esteemed companies that prioritize all stakeholders (the environment, community, workers, customers and shareholders) in their business practices and philosophy. Atheava, based in Connecticut, completed the rigorous assessment and review process during the past year and became officially certified in April 2021. Rohit Madan, the Founder of Atheava, is humbled by this recognition, as it only validates his mission of producing high quality natural skin care products (hand soaps, hand sanitizer, hand wash, body wash and face wash)made in a sustainable manner, and providing a dignified means of employment for rural women of India. Atheava’s main supplier is Neev Herbal Handmade Soaps, a very small business in the village of Hurlung, in the state of Jharkhand in eastern India. Neev Herbal Handmade Soaps, founded by Shikha Jain and her husband Anurag, is very special in their production process as:

❖ All products are made from vegetable oils (coconut, olive and mahua oils) and pure organic essential oils.

❖ No chemicals or artificial colors are added. ❖ All product formulations are based on Ayurveda and aromatherapy.

❖ All products are made in small batches using a cold process method, which best preserves the beneficial qualities of herbal ingredients.

❖ All products are handmade by rural women.

❖ Only solar electricity is used for all power needs.

❖ The beautiful packaging is recyclable.

Atheava would like to bring value to customers through their high quality products and also contribute towards sustainable development in the world in their own small way by reducing their carbon footprint on Planet Earth. Atheava is committed to the core philosophy of the B Corp community “to use business as a force for good”, in mindfully selecting future product additions and business partnerships, further promoting the shared goal of providing extraordinary possibilities for all.

With so much pain and suffering going on in India right now with Covid-19, we are pleased to announce that Shikha, Anurag and their Neev family are all doing well at the moment and gainfully employed as they continue to produce for Atheava Ayurveda. The women are considered essential workers as they are producing hand sanitizer, hand soaps and hand wash. As the founding father of India, Mahatma Gandhi once stated, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Shop mindfully and please support small businesses such as Atheava.
